Forum Rules

Sign Up 1: We require a valid email address, as this is our only form of contact with you. Which can be vital if there is a potential security issue. Basic Guidelines 1: No Spamming: Please try to not double post, or post just for the sake of raising your postcount. 2: No Flaming: Please do not post any messages that harrass, insult, belittle, threaten or flame another member or guest. This will not be tolerated. 3: No "Trolling": Please do not post any topic that disrupts the peace and harmony of this board. Don't create meaningless threads with the sole purpose of starting a dispute. This includes messages in profiles and signatures. 4: While accept that from time to time you may want to bump a thread, try to keep it to a minimum, Also please dont bring up Months old threads just to give an answer as by now there wil probably be no need. 5: You may not send out mass PM's to users at all, asking to join your site or not. If you recieve such a PM, forward it to an Admin immediatly and it will be dealt with accordingly. 6: Please do not sign up with multiple accounts, any members found doing this will be banned. Explicit Material and Profanity 1: Light profanity is allowed only in thread content, they are not permitted in any thread title. HOWEVER, excessive or vulgar profanities, or profanity directed at others in an insulting manner will not be tolerated. The occasional swear should not be a problem, as the swear filter is designed to mask it. Occasional being the keyword here. Making remarks that could be construed as Racist or Homophobic are to be avoided. Attempting to bypass the swear filter by creative use of other characters is not permitted and may result in the thread or post being removed and a warning given to the offender. Too many warnings will result in an account ban. 2: Posting or even linking to sexually explicit remarks or any type of pornographic images is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. This is a banning offence and will not be tolerated for a second. Offenders will be dealt in an appropriate manner. As signatures, avatars, profile pics etc are viewable in all parts of the forum, any adult content found or reported in these sections will be removed and the offending member reprimanded accordingly. Uploading Images and Media 1: When posting photographs / images of vehicles, wherever from, please make sure you blank out their Registration Plate. You can do this by using a multitude of image editing software. The exception to this is your own car, you have to make that decision. the maximum size limit for normal pictures is 800x600, profile pictures is 640x480, signatures is 400x100 and avatars is 110x84. Any picture deemed as possibly rude or offensive must not be used for signatures or avatars. Any violation to this rule will result in the offending photograph / image being removed and a warning sent to the offender. Three warnings and the right to use Avatars or Signatures will be removed for the offender. Continuation will result in a ban. Signatures and Avatars 1: Avatars are viewable by everyone, so any user Avatar must be free from any lewd or profanic material. The maximum size permitted for Avatars is a 110x84 pixel frame with a file size of no more than 50kb. Lightly animated GIF files are allowed, but static JPG files are preferred. Avatars breaking these rules will be replaced by a warning image by an automated checker. If this rule is broken 3 times, your ability for avatars will be removed. Under no circumstances must any material displayed contain profane, lewd or adult content. Any avatars found or reported breaking these rules will be replaced with a warning image. 2: A signature may contain one or more images but they must fit within a box with maximum dimensions of 400 x 75 pixels (width x height) and with a maximum (combined) file size of 50k. If no images are used then up to 4 consecutive lines of normal (size3) or smaller text is permitted. Do not pad out your text lines with blanks lines. A line of text is defined as having a maximum length of 400 pixels. If you want to turn the signature off in the future, you can come back and edit your post. If you have specified a signature in your profile, the box will be automatically ticked for you. If this rule is broken 3 times, your ability for signatures will be removed. Under no circumstances must any material displayed contain profane, lewd or adult content. Any signatures found or reported breaking these rules will be replaced with a warning image. 3: Keep them clean! Reporting Problems and Disputes 1: If you feel a post is out of line with these rules use the Report Post () button and a mod will deal with it asap. 2: If you are involved or witness a dispute report it immediatly, but do not do anything to aggreveate the situation further. If you can settle the dispute off the board or in private, please dont bring the board into disrepute. Misc 1: The Administrators and Moderators of vectra-sri.co.uk reserve the right to remove ANY post they belive to be irrelevant or may put off new members. 2: The forums feature a Censor which automatically blank out unappropriate words, if you find that a perfectly respectable word is being filtered PM an admin so it can be fixed.
